HyperDrum

This is an incredibly fun and unique gift. They are super accurate and QUIET (the best part!) My husband uses them, my kids use them. You pair them with Bluetooth or you can use the cord and a speaker. My son is just getting into drums, and didnt want to commit to a whole drumset just yet so this is perfect!

I saw a lot of reviews and videos before buying these Hyperdrum. My main instrument is the
guitar with almost 20 years of playing, 10 years playing piano and 5 since I started learningdrums with my Alesis e-kit. So, I'm not a Pro drummer, but I really enjoy playing and it helps me
with the stress.
I was looking for a drum set more quiet than my e-kit because I mostly play at night very late
and my brother's room is next to mine, he gets annoyed by the sound of my drumsticks hitting
the drum pads. I gotta say I'm really surprised, this works way better than I thought it would.
There is a learning curve. But when you understand the Hyperdrum work with angles you get the
hang of it. So, it's not if the Hyperdrum are accurate or not, it's you who gotta be accurate with
the angles of each drum/cymbal.
l use it with my Marshall headphones and my phone connected in Line input.
I calibrate the Hyperdrum each time before starting a song, I play like 4 or 5 songs in a row with
calibration in between and only twice I heard a drum or cymbalI didn't hit. The more you
practice the more accurate you get.
Plus tip: If you have a Meta Quest, this thing works really good! I connect these with my Quest 3and the Paradiddle app and it works really well, and in that way I'm actually seeing my drum kit.
The only thing I would change is the volume of the bass drum, I think it sounds too loud and I
barely listen to my hi hat.
For the price, I think this is really good, I'm using it like 3 times a week.
If you are a pro drummer I don't think this is for you. For learning I don't know, I think an e-kit
might be better. BUT, if you're just an average drummer like me looking to play quietly, practice
and killing some time, I think these are perfect.

I mainly wanted something I could use for casual drumming and experimenting with MIDI without taking up more space in my home studio. Most of my setup is already filled with keyboards and synths, so adding a full electronic drum kit wasn't really an option.

The HyperDrum turned out to be a pretty good fit for what I needed. It's compact, easy to set up, and doesn't require any drum pads or extra space. The motion tracking works surprisingly well once you get used to the angles. It takes a little practice, and occasionally a hit doesn't register exactly how I expect, but overall it's been a fun experience.

I also like the Bluetooth MIDI feature, which gives me more flexibility when experimenting with music. The included headphones are a nice bonus, especially when I want to practice without making much noise.

It's obviously not going to replace a real drum kit, but for someone like me who enjoys making music and doesn't have room for more gear, it's a really practical little setup. I'm happy with it so far, especially considering the price!
